National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, a program launched by the Government of India to promote apprenticeship training in the country. It provides financial support to establishments that engage apprentices. NAPS was launched on 19th August 2016.

Objective:

To promote apprenticeship training across industries by:

• Enhancing employability through on-the-job training
• Providing financial support to employers
• Encouraging formal engagement of apprentices across sectors
